Cookie policy

COOKIE POLICY WHAT ARE COOKIES AND WHAT IS THEIR PURPOSE:

Cookies are small text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client device to be reused during the same visit to the site or even later, sometimes after days.

Cookies are stored, based on the user's preferences, by the browser on the specific device used. Users who do not wish to receive cookies may choose to disable them permanently. Each browser has its own method for limiting or disabling cookies, as explained below, or may indicate upon first visit to the website to accept only those necessary for navigation and block the installation of marketing or other non-essential cookies.

TYPES OF COOKIES:

Cookies are classified into several types based on:

Duration:
  • Session cookies (temporary): automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: remain active until their expiry date or until deleted by the user.
Purpose:

Technical cookies
  • Browsing/performance/process/security cookies help the site function properly, e.g. enabling navigation between pages or access to protected areas. If blocked, the site may not function correctly.
  • Functionality/preferences/location/session status cookies store information that modifies the behaviour or appearance of the site (preferred language, text size, geographic area). If blocked, the experience is less functional but not compromised.
Non-technical cookies
  • Third-party statistical/analytics cookies without IP masking or data merging are used to gather information and generate usage statistics, possibly identifying and tracking users to understand how visitors interact with the website.
  • Profiling/advertising/tracking/conversion cookies allow the selection of ads based on what is relevant to a user (personalised advertising). These cookies are used to create user profiles and send advertising messages aligned with the preferences expressed during browsing. Due to their potential intrusiveness into users’ private lives, EU and Italian law requires users to be properly informed and provide valid consent.

LIST OF COOKIES CURRENTLY USED BY THE WEBSITE

The site owner has taken note of the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Provision “Identification of simplified procedures for information and obtaining consent for the use of cookies – 8 May 2014 (Published in the Official Gazette No. 126 of 3 June 2014)”, as well as subsequent decisions on “cookies” and the Provision of 10 June 2021, No. 231 "Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools", published in the Official Gazette No. 163 of 9 July 2021.
The Authority revisits key sector regulations, starting with the 2002 e-Privacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC), to provide an operational framework for data controllers updated to the latest technical and legal developments.

In accordance with this provision, the Controller informs Users that the corporate website uses the following cookies:

  • Technical and statistical cookies

This Website uses cookies to maintain the User’s session and perform other activities strictly necessary for the operation of the Website, such as traffic distribution. This category includes both persistent and session cookies:

  • Persistent: not deleted when the browser is closed but remain until a pre-set expiration date.
  • Session: deleted every time the browser is closed.
  • First-party: belong to the visited website and are sent directly to the user.
  • Third-party: originate from websites other than the one being visited. The site owner has no control over these and disabling them does not affect browsing. These cookies are governed by the third parties’ policies.

These cookies are not used for additional purposes and are typically installed directly by the website owner. Without them, some operations could not be performed or would be more complex and/or less secure.

Specifically, the Website currently uses the following Cookies
:

_cookie_consent
Purpose: Stores the user's cookie consent status
Duration: 1 year

_ga
Purpose: website statistics
Google Analytics Statistics
1 year

_ga_G6E48E8NWF

HOW USERS CAN GIVE AND/OR WITHDRAW CONSENT FOR COOKIE INSTALLATION

In addition to what is stated in this document, Users can manage Cookie preferences directly in their browser to prevent third parties from installing them.

With the exception of strictly necessary technical cookies, the provision of data is at the discretion of the data subject who chooses to browse the site after reading the short notice in the appropriate banner upon access.

To avoid the installation of cookies, users can disable this function via their browser’s settings.

Through browser preferences, users can also delete cookies installed in the past, including the cookie that may have stored consent for this website’s cookie use. Procedures vary by browser. Users can find instructions at the following links:

- Internet Explorer:

- Apple Safari:

Each User can refuse cookie use by selecting the appropriate browser setting and choosing which cookies to authorise.

Users/visitors may configure their browser to notify them every time a cookie is saved.

Depending on the browser, there are also options to browse without cookies, such as:

- Block third-party cookies: Third-party cookies are not generally necessary for browsing and can be rejected by default via browser settings.

- Enable Do Not Track option: Most modern browsers offer this setting. Sites designed to respect it should automatically stop collecting certain browsing data when activated. However, not all websites support this feature (optional).

- Enable "anonymous browsing" mode: This allows users to browse without leaving traces in the browser. Pages visited are not stored, and cookies are deleted. However, this does not guarantee anonymity, as browsing data may still be visible to websites and ISPs.

- Delete cookies directly: This can be done through browser settings. However, new cookies are downloaded on each Internet connection, so regular deletion is recommended.

HOW TO DISABLE AND/OR MANAGE THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

With regard to cookies installed by third parties, the User may also manage preferences and withdraw consent via the related opt-out link (if available), using the tools in the third party’s privacy policy, or by contacting them directly.
